Job Description



JOB PURPOSE
To process trade finance opertaion transactions using the trade related systems accurately within the required time frames and strictly in line with the laid down bank\xe2\x80\x99s standards and requirements

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

1. Line Manager
To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met
Daily
2. Colleagues
To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met
To discuss and resolve trade transaction/trade system related issues
Monthly
3. Unit Head
To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met
Quarterly
4. Internal Stakeholders
To coordinate with on a transactional basis
5. Peers
To provide support as needed and coordinate with the rest of the teams within Trade Finance Operations
Daily

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.Transaction Administration
Process transactions in line with trade finance policy, standard operating procedures, and credit terms and conditions without any errors within agreed timeframes.
2.Stakeholder Management
Liaise with relationship team to acquire necessary approvals required for transaction handling to ensure adherence with policies and procedures
3.Information and Record Keeping
Maintain records and information related to the transactions and reconciliation of accounts in line with the bank\xe2\x80\x99s standards
4.Self Management
Manage self in line with the bank\xe2\x80\x99s people management, policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance.

5.Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
6.Customer Service
Demonstrate our promise and apply the ADCB standards to deliver the bank\xe2\x80\x99s required levels of service in all internal and external communication

Skills

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

Minimum Experience
Fresh graduates can be considered for some basic trade products to start with
At least 3 years of experience in Trade Finance with knowledge of banking and accounting systems for core trade products
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance/Banking/Business/Accounting or equivalent
Professional Qualifications
Banking specialisation from Institute of Financial Services like CDCS, URDG, CITF governed by ICC or equivalent is preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Verbal and written skills
MS office - Excel and Access
