Role

Own and improve our Odoo stack (v16-18) across POS, Accounting, Inventory, and Purchase. Focus on speed, clean ORM use, and PostgreSQL tuning. Ship small, reliable releases that make center operations faster.

Experience of Python is must.

PoSo Performance o Accounting o Inventory o POS

Design, customize, and maintain Odoo modules (POS, Accounting, Inventory, Sales/CRM, Purchase). Profile and fix performance: kill N+1s, batch ORM calls, use prefetch/read_group wisely, add the right indexes. Tune Postgres: schema design, EXPLAIN/ANALYZE, query optimization, autovacuum health. Build/maintain integrations (REST/webhooks) with payments, messaging, landlord feeds, devices--idempotent and auditable. Write tests, review code, use Git/CI; plan safe migrations and rollbacks. Convert business requirements into small specs; document decisions; demo to ops/finance. Handle light front-end tweaks (XML/QWeb/JS) to support POS and back-office flows.

Qualifications:

5+ years professional Odoo dev (v16, v18), including POS and core back-office modules. Strong Python/Odoo ORM (models, computed fields, constraints, server actions, security). Solid PostgreSQL (indexing strategy, EXPLAIN, query tuning, bloat control). XML/QWeb, controllers, imports/exports; Linux/Docker and Git/CI habits. Clear, concise documentation and communication.

Nice to have

Odoo.sh scaling/worker tuning; async/queue_job; caching patterns. Payments/terminal, barcode/receipt printing, hardware integrations. Light ETL (Python/n8n) or BI wiring (Metabase). UAE VAT, multi-company, privacy/compliance awareness.
