Position Summary:



We are seeking a skilled and compassionate

Clinical Occupational Therapist

to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments. This role focuses on improving patient function, independence, and quality of life through evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and goal-directed interventions.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools. Develop and implement patient-specific, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at restoring or enhancing functional independence. Deliver direct therapy services to individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, medical-surgical, and cognitive conditions. Provide interventions for activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental ADLs, upper extremity function, cognitive-perceptual training, and adaptive equipment use. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families on care plans, home programs, and techniques to maintain progress after discharge. Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and continuing education activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control procedures, and professional ethics.

Qualifications:



Valid DHA license



Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist . Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered. Current CPR/BLS certification. Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
