Danat Al Emarat, our Women's and Children's Hospital in Abu Dhabi, is actively recruiting for a Registered Midwife , who would perform in charge duties as delegated by the Senior Registered/Charge Midwife/ Director of Nursing.

Job Summary

• Responsible in the provision of quality nursing care by maintaining accurate records in the EMR and in the maintenance of professional standards through continuing education and development.
• Responsible for the orientation and induction training of new, junior Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses.
• Accountable for ensuring all services rendered are consistent with their education and assessed competence, meet legislative requirements, and are supported by appropriate standards.
• Understands supports and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice as defined by DoH.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing School/University
• Post graduate education in paediatrics preferred

Licenses, Registrations & Certifications Requirements

• Current DoH Nursing License
• Current Home Country license
• Current BLS Certificate
• Current PALS or PEARS preferred

Professional Experience Required (Relevant to the Job)

• At least 2 years clinical experience post-qualification
• No less than 1 years experience in pediatric nursing.

Working Conditions / Environment

• The incumbent will be required to work during weekends, public holidays and nights.
• May be required to work overtime depending on the needs of the Organization.
• This job may require the ability to continuously stand or walk. It may also require the ability to bend, squat and lift documents and files.
