The position

As an Obesity Medical Director, your main role will be to aid the obesity teams across the APAC region. You will provide strategic direction and medical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality initiatives in the Obesity Portfolio and expertise in obesity is super nice to have. The position will report to the Senior Director Medical Affairs region APAC.

Your main duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Driving strategic direction in the APAC region to aid the obesity initiatives and provide medical affairs expertise to internal stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance obesity competencies across the region and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Preparing and executing tactical plans aligned with the regional objectives, including KOL engagement events, medical guidance events, external medical education events, and publications.
  • Ensuring close collaboration between medical, marketing, and market access teams for cross-functional activities.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
  • A University Degree in a relevant area, such as an MD, Pharma D, or Ph.D. degree in Lifesciences.
  • Minimum 7 years of medical affairs office or field-based experience, with at least 5 years in the metabolic area, Obesity, CVD, MASH.
  • Strong knowledge of drug development and life cycle management principles.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office.
