Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage sea freight / NVOCC operations (imports, exports, consolidation).
Lead a team: import/export staff, nomination, transshipment teams, etc.
Maintain relationships with shippers, agents, feeders, etc.
Handle shipping claims, negotiate contracts with carriers and warehouses.
Ensure regulatory compliance -- shipping regulations, customs, dangerous goods if relevant.
Prepare and manage budget, performance reviews, optimize processes. randstad.com
Use shipping / logistics software (e.g. Sysfreight or other freight management systems).
Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and improve quality, efficiency.
