About the role:

The nursing assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, supporting patients with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety in a clinical or home-care setting.

Key responsibilities:

Provide basic bedside care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility). Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and ambulation, including the use of mobility aids. Support nurses and doctors during examinations and simple procedures as directed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, equipment, and common areas. Observe, report, and document any changes in patient condition or unusual incidents promptly. Provide emotional support, companionship, and respectful communication to patients and families. Follow infection control, health, and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completed Nursing Assistant / CNA training program and current certificate or country?equivalent license, where required. Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience as a nursing assistant, caregiver, or similar role (preferred). Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification (preferred or required, depending on facility). Ability to speak, read, and write English; additional languages are an advantage.

Strong compassion and respect for patient dignity. Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare team. Reliable time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with lifting as required for patient care.
