Job Description

The nursery teacher has a number of general responsibilities in her daily teaching job. Must provide a wonderful learning environment for the children, teach them how to interact with others and help them with their daily needs. The nursery teacher will instruct them in basic educational programs, teach them to be creative and provide them with a safe and caring environment to learn and grow.

MAIN DUTIES:

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well being and safety of the children in her care. Developing and implementing lessons and work schemes. Organizing and supervising play and work activities. Promote positive behavior from children and to assist in establishing good standards of behavior throughout the nursery. Maintains a positive, calm attitude and a soft voice, and encourage this attitude and voice in others working in the classroom. To monitor children's progress, keep meaningful records and evaluate performance through formative assessments in line with school policy. To effect equal opportunities through meaningful classroom practice in order to achieve equality of outcome. To be responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate resources and equipment, preparing the classroom indoors and outdoors and ensuring that it is safe, clean and tidy at the start and end of each session. Have a good, up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behavior management strategies and know how to use and adapt them, including how to personalize learning to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential. To set a good example in terms of punctuality, attendance, behavior and dress, and to support the development of the nursery's reputation and standing within the community.

Mandatory requirements:

Have admirable proven experience in a nursery setting (children aged two months to 4 years). Be available to join ASAP. Have additional skills that can contribute to the level of provided educational services, such as arts & crafts, music, dance, and other languages. Already residing in Qatar and under family sponsorship.
