. As a

Nursery Teacher

, you will play a key role in the early development of children, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care and education. You will be responsible for planning and implementing learning activities, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment, and working closely with parents and caregivers to support the children's growth and development. You will also ensure that all activities align with the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Delivery:

Plan, organize, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS curriculum. Provide a variety of learning experiences that cater to different learning styles and developmental stages. Create a stimulating and inclusive environment that promotes children's curiosity and a love of learning.

Supporting Children's Development:

Monitor and assess children's learning and progress regularly. Provide individual support for children who need additional help, ensuring all children are included. Foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through purposeful play and structured activities.

Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and achievements. Report on children's development to parents and caregivers during meetings and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure that children's work and learning are documented appropriately.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to create a supportive and open line of communication. Offer guidance and support to parents regarding their child's development and daily routine. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation and continuity in the nursery.

Classroom Management:

Ensure a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for children at all times. Manage the behavior of children in the classroom and outdoor spaces using positive reinforcement strategies. Foster an environment of respect, inclusivity, and kindness.

Health & Safety:

Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, including cleanliness, safeguarding, and emergency procedures. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Administer first aid when necessary, following proper protocols.

Requirements:

Education/Qualification:

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education (or equivalent) required .

A qualification in Early Years Childhood Education is mandatory.

Experience:

At least

1-2 years of experience

in a nursery or early childhood setting. Experience working with young children, preferably within the EYFS framework.
