Job Description

The French Teacher is responsible for introducing and developing the French language among nursery children through engaging, age-appropriate, and play-based activities. The teacher fosters a joyful and positive learning environment that promotes curiosity, communication, and confidence in using basic French vocabulary and expressions.

Plan and deliver fun, interactive French lessons tailored to the developmental stages of children aged 0-4 years.
Introduce children to the French language through songs, stories, rhymes, games, and creative arts.
Integrate the French language naturally within daily routines, reinforcing key vocabulary through repetition and real-life contexts.
Ensure lessons align with the nursery's curriculum framework (EYFS & Reggio Emilia-inspired approach).
Support children's holistic development -- linguistic, cognitive, social, and emotional -- through bilingual exposure
Classroom Environment

Create a warm, nurturing, and language-rich learning atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves confidently.
Prepare and maintain learning resources, displays, and materials related to French lessons.
Ensure safety, hygiene, and wellbeing standards are maintained during all activities.
Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with the teaching team to integrate French learning within classroom projects and daily experiences.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and curriculum planning.
Support school events, performances, and cultural celebrations related to the French language or Francophone traditions.
