Job Description

Duties:

. Monitor patients condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice

. Observe and interpret patients symptoms and communicate them to physicians

. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients

. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients charts

. Adjust and administer patients medication and provide treatments according to physicians orders

. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)

. Provide instant medical care in emergencies

. Assist surgeons during operations

. Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants

. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conference

. Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin.

. Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patients medical history, and be aware of relevant test results.

. Assist the dermatologist with outpatient and surgical dermatology procedures.

. Provide pre- and post-operative care for clients who are undergoing treatment for a variety of skin conditions and diseases.

. Assist with procedures using specialized medical equipment, including cosmetic dermatology

. Assess, monitor, and treat skin wounds, mainly burns.

. Perform wound care and be familiar with many types of dressings, topical medications, and would care routines.

. Be familiar with how to treat acne, specific acne medications and their risks, and alternative topical medications.

. Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
