Nurse Manager in all nursing specialties. Job Role: Leads and demonstrates the provision of safe patient and family-focused quality care. Responsible for twenty-four (24) hour management of the assigned nursing unit. Assesses, plans directs, implements, and evaluates patient care to comply with established standards. Main tasks and responsibilities (the position exist to perform the below tasks and essential activities) \xe2\x80\xa2 Strives for excellence on the unit and promotes team working and interdisciplinary relationships. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures that nursing and support teams work flexibly and supportively together and that the objectives are delivered. \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate patient acuity, develops, and review criteria for work assignment and delivery care model. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures that there is a planned and effective day-to-day skill mix and staff management. Determines and reviews staffing plans and develops a scheduling system for units and reviews regularly as staffing, skills mix, and acuity change. \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as an expert resource for others requiring knowledge, experience, advice, and support within the multi-professional team \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs or monitors personnel management functions, which include interviewing and selecting candidates, directing the performance management program, and managing corrective action issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrates growth and development in clinical and management skills through an ongoing process of education consultation and pertinent literature. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure policy, procedure and practice are in place and consistent with hospital strategic direction/goals, medical practice, service delivery and regulatory standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate research-based nursing practice in caring for patients in related specialties. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide holistic nursing care to patients and their families. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure effective channels of communication exist between the staff, the patients, and their relatives (and/or significant others) in order that they are fully always informed. \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as a change agent, supporting staff in the implementation of new practice. \xe2\x80\xa2 Supports risk management activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency and adhere to all relevant department\'s policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute with ideas that support an efficient and effective structure and resource allocation for the department, to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the development and execution of the department\'s short to mid-term plans to ensure alignment with Elegancia Healthcare\'s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the department, to track performance and recommend corrective actions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage the performance management, career progression and activities of direct reports by setting annual objectives, identifying training opportunities, mentoring, coaching and providing constructive feedback to improve their performance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow all relevant organizational HSE and QM policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure Health, Safety and Quality compliance in all aspects of work and ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by complying with Quality Management System processes, providing and receiving constructive feedback, to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Education \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor Degree in Nursing or related field (Essential) \xe2\x80\xa2 Postgraduate Degree in Nursing or related field Experience Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 8 years post-registration nursing experience in a large acute/tertiary hospital (required) \xe2\x80\xa2 4 Years Managerial Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Eligibility for Registered Nurse as per QCHP criteria Guidelines & Useful Links (moph.gov.qa) \xe2\x80\xa2 Home Country License \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience Certificates for a minimum of 3 years as an RN \xe2\x80\xa2 Dataflow verification \xe2\x80\xa2 Qatar Prometric Job Knowledge & Skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Previous Commissioning of Hospital Facility is highly desirable \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in a highly specialized medical facility that provides advanced and complex procedures and treatment is highly desirable. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comprehensive knowledge of the Accreditation Process in an acute Healthcare Facility with particular emphasis on JCI \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.
