MaK Middle East LLC is a Caterpillar company under parent Caterpillar Motoren GmbH and is exclusively focused on parts and services for Caterpillar's medium-speed engine brands MaK, CM and EMD in the Middle East.

Job Summary

MaK currently has a fixed-term contract for 4 months for a New Service Coordinator to join our team.

What You Will Do

Take on Technical Communicator role.

Vendor coordination and interaction.

Screening new and existing vendors, obtaining quotations, submitting purchase requests, follow PO and payment approval process.

Assist with EHS related tasks including compliance with local policies and permitting requirements, maintaining licenses and permits, EHS Self- Assessments, developing and implementing EHS Excellence goal plans, HOP Walks, safety walks, CI card process.

Back-up for reporting EHS incidents and near misses into SIRS.

Submit high risk travel approval requests to Corporate Security.

Coordinate service job attendance with customers. Monitor vessel location and ETA, scheduling, manpower and tooling requirement, manpower planning, arranging flights, accommodation, visas.

Arrange for necessary shipyard entry documentation and permits.

Arrange shipment of service tooling from Dubai to job site including export/import. Track the status and ETA of return service tooling shipments.

Provide support to regional service manager to help manage service projects, attend customer meetings.

Ordering spare parts require for the workshop overhaul job.

Oversee AV service exchange component program inventory and status including initial sales process, core status, core return inspections, core rebuilding, workshop reports submittals, close out with customers.

Coordinate local transportation of parts and components to and from vessels to workshop.

Assist RSM to finalize and prepare service invoices.

Assist in providing service utilization hours.

Skill You Will Have

Oral Communications: Knowledge of oral communications issues; ability to express oneself and communicate with others verbally and appropriately.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

What You Have

Degree or diploma holder preferred. Suitable work experience will be considered.

Strong marine and or power plant hands-on service background and experience.

Must have good technical experience in servicing large marine engines and components.

Previous experience in managing or supervising marine or land-based service teams and workshops preferred.

Must be willing to work beyond normal office working hours.

Must be prepared to travel when required.

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
