Introduction

Our client is a private multi-specialty hospital in Kuwait. Their 130 bed accredited facility includes inpatient rooms, labor rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Currently, the hospital is adopting an expansion plan to 230 beds.

Description

The main focus in this role is supporting the physicians with performing both EEG and EMG tests. ·

• Explains the procedure to the patient and obtains the patient’s cooperation for the best performance of these procedures.
• Checks the patient’s chart for orders and special needs.
• Performs the appropriate calibration procedure on the EEG instrument for standard recordings;·
• Takes complete histories directly from patients or medical records;· Perform Nerve Conduction Studies EEG's and stress testing;·
• Schedule and prioritize patients through the EMG laboratory to ensure that urgent studies are conducted promptly;·
• Performed nerve conduction studies, assisted physician with needle portion of EMG exam;·
• Scan EMG reports, tracings, and test results into database system;· Keeps EEG equipment in clean, operating condition, detects for instrument malfunctions, and makes minor maintenance/adjustments or reports need for major repairs;·
• Cleans, disinfects and maintains electrodes according to laboratory and infection control guidelines

• Capacity to deal with severely ill patients;·
• Physically able to assist with movement of patients and testing equipment.

Education & Qualifications:·

• Bachelor Neurodiagnostic Technology OR 2 year program in Clinical Neurophysiology;·
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in same role in clinical setting;
• Eligible or holder of valid MOH license.
