Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Diagnostic Testing



Perform routine and specialized neurodiagnostic procedures, including: Electroencephalography (EEG) Long-term video EEG monitoring Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) Evoked Potentials (EP) Polysomnography (if required by facility) Ensure proper electrode placement using standardized measurement systems (10-20 system or applicable standard). Monitor test quality and identify artifacts, adjusting techniques as necessary.

Patient Care



Prepare and educate patients about diagnostic procedures. Assess patient comfort, safety, and physiological responses throughout testing. Assist with special needs patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and patients with disabilities.

Equipment & Technical Operations



Operate, calibrate, and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment. Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance when needed. Ensure correct data storage, transfer, and documentation in the hospital system.

Documentation & Reporting



Complete all test documentation accurately and promptly. Record patient history relevant to the neurological test. Provide preliminary data and technical observations to physicians and specialists. Maintain clinical logs and statistics as required.

Clinical Quality & Compliance



Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and patient confidentiality standards. Follow hospital policies, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement activities and staff training when required.
