Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled

Network Engineer (Level 2)

to join our Roads Operations & Maintenance team. The role involves

planning, designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing data networks

across the Roads Asset Affairs Division. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with

system integrators, architects, and stakeholders

to ensure the reliable operation of critical network infrastructure supporting Qatar's road management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute all stages of the network lifecycle (Planning, Design, Implementation, Operation & Optimization). Collaborate with stakeholders to develop architecture frameworks aligning IT strategy with business goals. Manage daily operations of the

Regional Network Management Control Room

including network upgrades and migrations. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex network issues. Lead and mentor junior engineers; provide escalation support for advanced technologies. Coordinate with

Cisco TAC

for troubleshooting and escalation activities. Develop innovative approaches to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Support ICT project planning, budget management, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Minimum

8 years' experience

in a similar network engineering role.

CCNP certification

(CCIE Routing & Switching desirable).

ITIL v3 certified

. Proven ability to manage and configure medium to large-scale network environments.

Desirable:

PMP / PRINCE2 Certification. Experience with Asset Affairs or large infrastructure operations. Knowledge of VMware vSphere, Virtualization, and Voice Systems (desirable).

Technical Expertise

Hands-on experience with

Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K

UCS FI

, and

MDS series

(SAN experience is an advantage). Proficiency with

Cisco WLC, WCS, WAP

, and

802.1x

wireless solutions. Experience with

Cisco ASA/VPN

UTM

Load Balancer (FI)

solutions. Knowledge of

TACACS / RADIUS

DHCP

, and related IP services. Experience in

BYOD / ISE implementations

and borderless networking solutions.
