We are looking for a Network engineer to Join our team and the Network Engineer (L3) is a senior-level role responsible for leading the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of advanced network solutions. The role involves managing complex network infrastructure projects, providing Level 3 support for critical incidents, and ensuring compliance with performance and security standards. The projects primarily focus on Cisco Nexus Data Center Networking, Nexus Dashboard for VxLAN fabric, Fortigate Data Center Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers with WAF, and Checkpoint Firewalls for perimeter security.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Deployment:
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of complex network solutions for data center environments, including Cisco Nexus switches, Nexus Dashboard for VxLAN fabric, Fortigate Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers (including WAF configurations), and Checkpoint Firewalls.
Act as the technical lead on project implementations, ensuring project goals and deadlines are met.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements and design customized network solutions.
Conduct advanced site surveys, risk assessments, and capacity planning to ensure network infrastructure stability and scalability.
Develop detailed documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
Advanced SLA Support:
Provide Level 3 support for complex network-related incidents and service requests, ensuring issues are resolved within SLA timelines.
Analyze root causes of recurring incidents and recommend long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 engineers in resolving complex issues and troubleshooting network problems.
Manage escalations to vendors and third-party support as necessary
Network Optimization and Security:
Perform continuous audits of the network infrastructure to identify optimization opportunities and implement changes to improve performance.
Ensure the security of network infrastructure by implementing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security measures.
Lead the implementation of perimeter security using Checkpoint Firewalls and enhance application security with F5 WAF configurations.
Oversee firmware upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle management for all network devices.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Research and implement emerging networking technologies to improve the organization's network infrastructure.
Evaluate and recommend tools for network performance monitoring, security, and automation.
Develop and maintain best practices, policies, and procedures for network management.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Collaborate closely with systems administrators, security engineers, and IT managers to align network infrastructure with organizational goals.
Provide regular reports on network performance, project progress, and incident resolution to senior management.
Ensure documentation of all network activities, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures is up to date and accessible.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A diploma in a relevant field is also acceptable with significant experience in network technologies.
Expert-level knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs).
Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus switches and Nexus Dashboard for VxLAN fabric.
Strong hands-on experience with Fortigate Firewalls in data center environments.
Proficiency with F5 Load Balancers, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations.
Deep knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls for perimeter security.
Familiarity with network monitoring and automation tools.
Strong understanding of network security best practices and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects and mentor junior team members.
