The role includes maintaining accurate traceability records, verifying documentation, and supporting inspections and audits. Key Responsibilities:
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality in work execution.
Comply with data security protocols to protect company information and intellectual property.
Operational Duties:
Coordinate with Document Controllers, Work Preparators, and Shop/Onboard Supervisors to ensure all documentation in use is current and aligned with the latest revisions.
Assist supervisory staff in maintaining traceability records in compliance with department procedures and approved project ITPs.
Support supervision in identifying NDT requirements per project specifications to prevent future disputes or rework.
Verify material heat numbers, grades, and certification before fit-up and inspection.
Assist in updating ERP systems (e.g., Mariner) with accurate spool and joint details.
Raise inspection requests to QC and clients, and support during the inspection process.
Maintain up-to-date records of NDT status and report failures for corrective or preventive action planning.
Verify welder qualifications, WPS, and correct welding consumable use as per ITP.
Collaborate with NDT and QC teams to ensure timely report generation and distribution.
Ensure traceability and proper documentation by verifying drawing data, material specifications, joint configurations, and weld map entries.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for supervision and departmental performance reviews.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in piping construction, preferably in shipyard or related industries.
Solid understanding of traceability, NDT procedures, piping drawings, and process workflows.
Familiarity with ERP tools (e.g., Mariner), spool tracking systems, and weld mapping.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Basic knowledge of Primavera and AutoCAD is desirable.
