Software Expertise Able to use work related softwares and equipments such as Sat-C, VHF, MF-HF, GPS, AIS, SATELLITE COMPASS, GYRO, RADAR, SPEED LOG,M ECHO SOUNDER, ECDIS, ANEMOMETER, BNWAS, SVDR, PA SYSTEM, INTERCOM, EMERGENCY TELEPHONE, FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM, SSAS, LRIT, use updated software, Basic MS Office and E-mail skills

JOB SCOPE: Repair and maintenance of all fleet vessels bridge/radio equipment. Monitor its maintenance and inspection schedule. Keep adequate spares maintained in stores. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure proper communication via email and telephone for all relevant matters involving Nav-Com equipment and all parties concerned. Order necessary ENC cells for the upcoming voyage and share the weekly update file. Plan the maintenance and inspection as per planned schedule and in collaboration with the respective marine superintendent. Supervise all the jobs undertaken by any 3rd party concerning radio/bridge equipment. Reporting to the operations manager/ marine superintendent the progress of the task undertaken on daily basis. Ensure all the jobs assigned are undertaken with proper risk assessments and permits were applicable. Ensure compliance with companies and or port regulations. Ensure proper gears and tools are used with respect to the jobs, especially safety gears/PPE. Be responsible for all the tools / equipment under his custody. Monitor defect reports for the bridge/radio equipment and follow up promptly on to defects. Inspect vessels for any defects and train crew in operations of bridge/radio equipment. Maintain proper log and service reports for all the services/inspection/maintenance done on to bridge/radio equipment. Duties as assigned from Operations Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in ITI in electronics. Good command on English language. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: At least one year experience as Navcom Engineer (in U.A.E.).
