Job Description

Job Title: Naval Architect

Job Objective:

To design and develop marine structures such as ships, yachts, and floating houses, ensuring their compliance with engineering standards, classification requirements, and maritime safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare complete engineering designs for marine structures (GA Plan, Lines Plan, Structural Drawings). Conduct hydrostatic calculations (buoyancy, stability, weight, centers of gravity). Design internal structural divisions (Watertight Bulkheads, Tank Plan, etc.). Prepare safety plans, drainage plans, weight calculations, and trim and stability calculations. Prepare the technical documentation required for classification, such as: Stability Booklet Loading Manual Inclining Test Procedure Coordinate with classification societies (RINA, DNV, BV...) to meet their requirements. Support the production team during manufacturing to resolve design and field-related issues. Review engineering drawings and ensure their compliance with international standards (SOLAS, IACS, ISO). Update designs based on feedback from execution and classification teams. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, systems) to ensure design integration. Prepare and analyze hydrodynamic performance studies (CFD) to improve hull efficiency. Conduct final weight calculations and distribution in coordination with production. Participate in inclining experiments and sea trials and document the results. Prepare As-Built drawings after the completion of construction to document final modifications. Contribute to the selection of construction materials in coordination with the marine materials engineer. Provide technical support for technical offers and preliminary specifications for new projects. Manage technical project files and complete documentation of all drawings according to the quality system (ISO).

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
