Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide care and support to students throughout the school day, ensuring their safety, hygiene, engagement in learning, and overall well-being in coordination with teachers and other school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students during lessons to help them understand and complete tasks. Assist teachers with classroom activities, preparing teaching materials, and tutoring children individually or in small groups under teacher guidance. Organize and maintain the classroom and learning materials to support an effective learning environment. Supervise children during classroom sessions, indoor/outdoor play, and field trips, ensuring their safety and promoting positive behavior. Provide assistance to all children across different classrooms as needed. Conduct daily bag checks in the morning and evening to ensure required items are present and to uphold safety standards. Offer extra assistance to students with special needs as directed by the teacher. Assist during meal times by feeding children, ensuring proper nutrition and adherence to dietary requirements. Maintain child hygiene by changing diapers and cleaning up after accidents. Help children settle for naps in a calm and safe environment. Assist children with bathroom needs while maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. Coordinate safely handing over children to transport staff, managing pick-up and drop-off effectively. Monitor children for illness or discomfort, provide basic first aid if needed, and promptly inform the teacher or parents. Communicate regularly with teachers and staff to support the children's development and needs. Follow and uphold school rules and safety protocols consistently. Ensure all student belongings are labeled and kept properly to avoid misplacement. Maintain a daily logbook with relevant observations or incidents and submit it to the Supervisor at the end of the day.
