Music Teacher - Lower Secondary

(Local Hire, Part-time with Option for Full-time)

We are seeking an experienced, passionate

Music teacher for Lower Secondary (Sekundarstufe I)

who inspires students and supports their musical growth with expertise and enthusiasm.

With your pedagogical skill and love for teaching, you will strengthen students' musical abilities, creative expression, and cultural understanding--and spark their joy for music, rhythm, and making music together.

Overview of our school:

The German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD) is an accredited German school abroad with around 550 students from Kindergarten to Abitur. GISAD has repeatedly been rated among the best schools in Abu Dhabi by ADEK (2021) and carries the quality seal "Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule." For several years, up to eight Emirati children per year group have joined our integrative programme starting in Kindergarten.

Teach curriculum-aligned

Music in German

in Lower Secondary (Sek I) Contribute to the ongoing development of the school curriculum and teaching materials Build strong, trust-based communication with parents to support student learning Actively support the school's development by introducing new pedagogical ideas and refining existing processes Integrate modern teaching methods and digital tools to enhance learning Plan and deliver musical projects, school concerts and performances (e.g., musicals, ensembles, band projects)

Job profile:

Teaching qualification with

Second State Examination

in Music (Sek I) or equivalent degree (e.g., B.Ed. / Music degree) Enjoyment of working with adolescents and using creative teaching approaches Strong team spirit and willingness to collaborate for an effective school environment High sense of responsibility and professionalism in interactions with students, colleagues and parents Openness to innovation and active contribution to school life Intercultural sensitivity and commitment to an inclusive learning environment.
