Crown Worldwide Group currently has an opening for a: Museums Manager

Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position statement

The Museums Manager manages all aspects of the delivery of museums services, including transportation services, reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Crown Fine Art.

The focus of the role is on client relationship management, accelerating the growth of Crown\'s museum services and the operational aspect of the service delivery, as well as ensuring the use of Crown\'s systems are consistent and maximised to benefit both Crown & our clients.
  • To lead in achieving the company goals to include; budgeted revenue, gross margin and profit; quality of service and development of our business\' operation.
  • Deliver consistently high levels of service to give our clients the best possible experience of our services.
  • Responsibility of the entire Museums Department of the Crown Fine Art, UAE business.
  • Actively contribute individually, and as part of the Crown Fine Art Leadership team, in the design, implementation and adherence to company strategies and policies.
  • Manage, motivate and support of all staff that report to you.

Key responsibilities

Leadership
  • To motivate, performance manage and develop all staff that report to you review operational performance and ensuring corrective measures are taken;
  • Create an environment, which allows team work, innovation, enjoyment and shows our employees that we value them;
  • Maintain accurate personnel files to include holiday and sick leave entitlements, provide salary and staff development recommendations;
  • Leadership of Brand Values, and CSR initiatives relative to Crown.
Sales and business development
  • To build and maintain new relationships with galleries, museums and other sectors of the Fine Art market to develop new business;
  • To act as the Sales Manager for the newly developed Museum Department through direct selling to achieve maximum conversion ratios in line with profit targets;
  • In conjunction with other stakeholders, set pricing policies in terms of margin relevant to market;
  • Maintain weekly and monthly sales statistics specific to our direct sales effort
  • Provide business leads to other divisions within the company to facilitate client revenue growth;
Service delivery
  • Directly and indirectly provide our clients with exceptional services whilst in our care, ensuring their needs are met and they fully understand our service offering.
  • Ensuring that visit targets are set and achieved;
  • Maintain high levels of quality and service. Design and implement service improvement plans as required.
Other
  • Estimating, coordination and administration tasks. Ensure that Crown Fine Art Terms and Conditions are sent to each new client;
  • Timely invoicing and vigour in collecting aged debt. Observe payment policies and credit terms;
  • Develop systems and procedures for the Fine Art division;
  • Ensure the company complies with all regulatory body requirements and employees observe the law of the land;
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are observed;
  • Other duties as directed by the Regional Manager.
Measure of performance
  • Financial performance of the Fine Art business and Museums Department;
  • The development and implementation of company goals and strategies;
  • Morale and performance of all staff that report to you;
  • Quality of service and support offered to our clients;
  • Insurance claims and issues of poor performance.
Skills and Experience

Professional Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience within the Fine Art logistics at management level, ideally within the museum and/or heritage art market is highly desirable;
  • Experienced in the leadership and development of people;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders;
  • Well-developed administration and organisation skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience in face-to-face customer counselling roles;
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness;
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and other reporting functions.
