Job Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work. 2. Fabricates, alters, repairs and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes and other related structures or surfaces. 3. Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans or drawings. 4. Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry/tile assignments through review of work orders or plans. 5. Lays out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares and levels. 6. Mixes cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment and/or hand tools. 7. Cuts or breaks bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and/or hand tools. 8. Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge. 9. Performs all tasks and responsibilities of Mason, which includes block work, plastering, floor and wall tiling (ceramic and marble). 10. Performs any other functions related to the job scope, which the management deems necessary as designated. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (and/or other Attributes): 1. Knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment and materials. 2. Skill in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces. 3. Minimum 3 years' masonry or bricklaying experience in Building Construction in UAE. 4. Ability to work after hours over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice. 5. Reasonable facility of Language (English) and communication skills. Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
