Multi Technician (MEP)
Job Title: Multi Technician (MEP)
Department: Facilities Management / Engineering
Reports To: MEP Team Leader / FM Supervisor
Summary:
The Multi Technician is a skilled professional proficient in performing maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role is essential for delivering a high standard of facility upkeep, responding efficiently to faults, and ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance: Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of MEP equipment, including but not limited to: lighting systems, distribution boards, pumps, motors, fan coil units (FCUs), air handling units (AHUs), and basic plumbing fixtures.
• Reactive Repairs: Respond promptly to and resolve reactive maintenance calls and building faults.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults on mechanical and electrical systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Compliance: Work in strict accordance with all company and site-specific health and safety procedures.
• Documentation: Accurately complete digital or paper-based work orders, noting findings, actions taken, and parts used.
• Team Support: Collaborate with other technicians and specialists to complete larger tasks or complex repairs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recognized apprenticeship or qualifications in an electrical or mechanical trade (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, 2357, or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician in a facilities environment.
• Strong electrical competency (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is highly desirable).
• Good foundational knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
