MPS Project Engineering Manager

**Job summary**

The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the team of project engineers. Ultimate responsible for the quality of the engineering being executed and delivered by the team. Provides training, support and development to the team. Develops and encourage engineering progression through SLB programs. Assign engineering resources to proposals, projects and operation supports as needed.

+ Monitor and assess project engineering performance, quality and provide feedback for improvement.

+ Define training of project engineers.

+ Assess team skills/competencies and create individual development plans.

+ Monitor resource loading and develop action plans for staffing as required.

+ Review and update practices, procedures and forms required for project engineering execution.

+ Rollout out new engineering processes and software.

+ Check, approve and validate engineering deliverables for proposals and projects.

+ Participate in model and other design review meetings as required.

+ Participate in client meetings as required to provide technical input and execution guidance.

+ Undertake root cause analysis and provide reports to non-conformances identified on projects.

+ Assist with recruitment and undertake interviews as required.

+ Develop third party engineering companies.

+ Review and approve manhours estimation and review of scope matrix / technical clarifications prepared by project engineers.

+ Advise and assist project engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and client specification requirements.

+ Guide the team on the "Lessons learned" process and utilize findings from the process to update tools and processes.

+ Provide advice to the team in Identifying the right engineering execution strategy and execute the project inline with the schedule & budget.

+ Mentor other junior project engineers and provide training to others as required.

**Qualifications and Experience:**

+ Years of experience required: 20+ years of relevant experience.

+ Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering and EPC projects.

+ Ability to lead a multicultural and multidiscipline engineering team, remotely located, and to identify priorities during engineering execution

+ Capability to manage technical discussions with customers and represent SLB in technical presentation to customers

+ Possess a high degree of initiative

**Expertise:**

+ Thorough knowledge on reputed client specifications and international codes / standards.

+ All project phases execution from engineering to start up, including pre-commissioning, commissioning and troubleshooting.

+ Provide cost affective engineering solutions and engineering execution strategies.

+ Strong technical knowledge of engineering execution for EPC projects.

+ Strong leader with developed soft skills. Excellent communicator and good listener.

+ Knowledge of international standards and design codes.
