The Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for operating mobile cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment as per project requirements. The role demands strong technical knowledge, adherence to safety standards, and precision in handling heavy loads.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and site requirements.
Inspect cranes before and after operation to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Set up cranes and ensure the rigging is properly configured for each lift.
Work closely with site supervisors, riggers, and signalmen to execute lifting operations.
Calculate load weights, lifting capacities, and boom angles to ensure safe operations.
Follow all site safety procedures, traffic rules, and lifting plans.
Maintain daily operation logs, equipment checklists, and maintenance records.
Conduct basic maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor adjustments.
Comply with local safety regulations and company policies.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating mobile cranes (hydraulic / telescopic / all-terrain types).
Skills:
Strong understanding of load charts and lifting techniques.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of safety protocols and crane operations under various site conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Fit to perform duties involving lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor construction or industrial environments.
May require working in shifts or extended hours as per project timelines
