Firebird Diner will pay tribute to the classic American eatery, promising to deliver a timeless dining experience with Chef Mina\xe2\x80\x99s attention to detail, flair and signature hospitality.

Whether sitting at the counter for a bite or enjoying dinner in one of the plush booths with friends, the menu features many classic American diner favourites, all with Chef Mina\xe2\x80\x99s extravagant touch: breakfast items such as Firebird Steak & Eggs, \xe2\x80\x9cThe Elvis\xe2\x80\x9d American Toast, and Mina\xe2\x80\x99s twist on traditional French toast; and lunch and dinner favourites such as Michael\xe2\x80\x99s Ahi Tuna Tartare, Maine Lobster Corn Dogs, San Francisco Cioppinno, and \xe2\x80\x9cChicken Fried\xe2\x80\x9d Wagyu Steak. Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct and control the work of employees in the FireBird Diner and Penrose Lounge while ensuring exceptional service and attention to guests.
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees and managers in the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s restaurants and lounges to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons.
  • The ability to work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design effective menus and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Requirements
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years\xe2\x80\x99 previous experience in independently managing Destination Restaurants.
  • A Class or Michelin Star Restaurant experience will be an added advantage.
  • Dubai experience preferred.
  • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of different Food & Beverage Systems, POS etc.
