Job Description

We are looking for a Mill Assistant as per the below details: General Summary Assist the roller operator in pass and guide changing. Monitor and check the ability of spare rolling guides and keep it ready at all times. To check all the gas cutting equipment to ensure that it is working properly and ready at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To assist in size/pass changing activities thus utilizing the delay which occurred the shift.
Coordinate with roller operators, furnace operator, senior roller and main pulpit operator in terms of performing mill line jobs.
Maintain all gas cutting sets in good working condition and keep it ready for use.
Visual checking of spare rolling guides and able to identify which guide to be installed.
To arrange and collect pick tickets in warehouse.
To keep the work area always clean and tidy.
Follow all management directives, regulations and policies relating to safety, quality, health and environment.
To work as per Shift Supervisor instruction either at reforming pit area, trimming station or tagging when required.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Knowledge in gas cutting operation.
Good command of English.
Self motivation towards housekeeping in a shop floor environment
Teamwork.
Able to operate the pendant crane after he attend and passed the Safe Crane Operation Course arranged by Training Department.
