Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and certified MIG Welder/Fabricator to perform metal joining and structural fabrication tasks in our [Specify environment, e.g., manufacturing plant/construction site]. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, laying out components, and welding materials using the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) process to produce high-quality, durable assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

MIG Welding (GMAW):

Execute strong, clean, and consistent welds using the MIG process on various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, maintaining required penetration and bead appearance.

Fabrication and Layout:

Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to lay out and measure components, ensuring proper alignment, fit-up, and dimensional accuracy before welding.

Cutting and Shaping:

Use power tools, plasma cutters, cutting torches, grinders, and shears to cut, trim, and shape metal materials as per design specifications.

Assembly:

Assemble metal parts into complex assemblies, jigs, and fixtures, using tack welds, clamps, and holding devices to maintain alignment during the final welding process.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products and structural welds for defects (e.g., porosity, cracks, undercut), ensuring they meet both internal quality standards and relevant AWS/ISO codes.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment, including replacing wire, tips, and liners, and managing shielding gas supply to ensure optimal machine performance.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all workshop safety protocols, including fire prevention, proper ventilation, hot work permits, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
