Job Description
The Clinical Midwife is responsible for competently providing safe and effective care to Women during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and their newborn babies in the postpartum period with minimal supervision by the Clinical Nurse Leader/Clinical Midwife Leader The Clinical Midwife assesses care needs, plans, implements and evaluates programs of care. The Clinical Midwife is responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard, aligned to Sidra Standards of Practice. The Clinical Midwife participates in the supervision, orientation and training of staff and is responsible for education of patients, families and students.
o With complications of pregnancy
o Low risk women in labor
o High risk women in labor
o IV fluid management; monitoring intake and output
o Specimen collection
o Medication administration
o Monitoring of maternal wellbeing including early warning scores
o Nutritional assessment
o Fetal monitoring
o Skin integrity
o Wound assessment and management
o Transfusion management
o Venipuncture and cannulation
o Insertion of and maintenance of urinary catheter and bladder care
o Point of care testing
o Pain assessment and management
o Epidural care and management.
o Obstetric Emergencies Job Type: Full-time Salary: QAR7,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
- Antepartum
o With complications of pregnancy
- Intrapartum
o Low risk women in labor
o High risk women in labor
- Specific competencies across all areas:
