Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.

Role Objective

The Sales Manager - Sales has to manage and control all sales activities for a specific sales area in a particular region. The primary objective is to maximize business opportunities and to ensure that TE is in prime position to grow and develop sales profitability in addition to mange and motivate the sales force (Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Resident engineers...). . As the head of the sales team, the sales manager must elaborate the sales strategy for related sales area aligned with Global & EMEA Aut Sales strategy considering the business and market area specificity. . The Sales Manager must develop a sales plan and provide the sales forecast to the organization (mainly Supply Chain and Operations) for the future, bringing visibility on market and customers trends/orientations. . The sales manager has to put in place a close follow up for sales KPIs (Growth, New Opportunities, Profitability and A/R) and drive to achieve all agreed goals. Participation on the regional monthly management meetings/reviews and bring the VoC and the Market orientations sharing main market events & facts with the regional management team. . The Sales Manager has to highly contribute to the operations development plan (transfers or new projects) by analyzing the market needs and the portfolio evolution is his area of business.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As Sales Manager for an area of business, you are : Accountable for regional profitable sales growth, development of new business opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction at the highest level. Responsible and accountable for delivering the regional annual growth plans regarding the specific segment as well as further defining the account specific regional tactic under consideration of segment's global strategy and TE's strategies. Contributing with finance to the P/L monthly reviews and profitability assessment. Assess and qualify new business opportunities and manage and provide new product streams. Coordinate regional results (monthly billing review, monthly rolling F/cast and market project highlights) Deliver the annual Budget/Forecast for the region basing on different customers inputs. Put in place a management system that allow a close follow up for sales teams KPIs and drive for specific actions plan where appropriate. Build with the support of the HR development plans to the teams' talents.

What your background should look like:

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE . BE/ B.Tech (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical). "Engineering School preferred". . Sales, Marketing and communication educational background. . Knowledge of MS-Office.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE . 6+ years of experience managing customer accounts & team handling. . Good exposure to automotive OEM's / Tier-1s . Exposure to Interconnection ecosystem (Harness makers, component manufacturer's) preferred.
