Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
The role involves providing leadership in driving all marketing initiatives and programs in METNA and in close collaboration with the Regional Director and the local Sales team. The activities are strongly related to further development of partner and end-user business and community and awareness of VMware's solutions in METNA.
Generating awareness, demand creation and influence for VMware's solutions in all important market segments will be crucial and so will be developing customer (end-user) marketing strategy to drive up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Work with channel teams to co market on a two-tier distribution network (resellers, SI's, ISV's, alliances, and distributors) in order to meet the revenue targets and to address new market segments will also be of key importance.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Develop marketing plan for the MENTA region in close collaboration with the Regional Director, Country Managers, and Sales leaders
Gain extensive knowledge on the different market segments and generate plans to increase market penetration
Work closely together with the local PR agency to improve the awareness of VMware's solutions and overall strategy moving forward
Define and drive social media programmes for the country
Drive and control the lead management process including tracking and tracing
Control and maintain contact databases for partners, distributors, alliances, end-users, and other stakeholders
Work closely together with the local sales team and other internal stakeholders to make sure that the plan and execution is in line with overall strategy
Manage and control the marketing budget, including the co-op funds
