Metallurgical Engineer (gas Turbine)

Job Description
Responsible for the support of engineering, repair, and laboratory activities related to the inspection and repair of gas turbine components in repair shop
Qualifications/Requirements:
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8f bachelor's or master's degree in metallurgical engineering.
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fMinimum 5 years of engineering experience in process/product/ development in the related industry. Previous experience in the repair of industrial gas or aero turbines is advantageous.
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fGood understanding of materials behaviour and microstructure analysis of ferrous and nonferrous materials, including superalloys.
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fGood knowledge of heat treatment principles and applications
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fGood expertise in welding, joining processes, and NDT techniques.
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fFamiliar with mechanical testing of materials (Hardness, creep, fatigue, etc.)
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fKnowledge of ASME, ASTM, AWS, EN, and ISO standards.
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fKnowledge of interpreting engineering drawings
xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fExperience in heavy-duty gas turbine component repairs is advantageous.

xf0x9fx9bxa0xefxb8x8fGood teamwork, observation, and documentation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver laboratory metallurgical reports for qualification tests and production jobs regarding stripping, welding, brazing and coating applications (Plasma APS, HVOF, Aluminizing).Failure analysis and residual life assessment of metallic components.
- Support engineering team for preparing of engineering reports.
- Support the shop and engineering team for solving technical issues and making technical dispositions!
- Support for new qualification repair processes of GT parts.
- Preparation of work instruction processes, quality control and test procedures for laboratory activities
- Perform root cause analysis and provide corrective actions.
- Review process documentation and inspection reports.
- Prepare material technical specifications for the purchase of consumable materials, spare parts or other processing equipment.
