Job Description
Foreground is partnering with a top-tier electronics distributor to identify a Merchandising Director who will lead product assortment, vendor relationships, and pricing strategies across multiple categories. The role demands an expert in consumer electronics who combines analytical strength with commercial instincts to maximize revenue and optimize product lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Define merchandising strategy across electronics categories (mobiles, laptops, appliances, accessories).
- Negotiate terms with global and regional suppliers to secure competitive pricing and exclusivity.
- Develop seasonal and promotional product calendars to drive category growth.
- Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor positioning to adapt strategies.
- Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory optimization.
- Lead a team of category managers and buyers, mentoring and coaching them toward excellence.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of merchandising/category management experience in electronics.
- Strong network with global and regional electronics suppliers and brands.
- Commercially sharp with advanced negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capability.
