We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Supervisor to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise across MEP disciplines, and significant experience in cost estimation and project planning. The MEP Supervisor will coordinate between various stakeholders to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and quality execution of MEP works.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Site Management:
Supervise daily MEP construction activities and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate and liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including work schedules, progress reports, and inspection logs.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Estimation & Planning:
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate estimates for MEP works.
Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Support tendering processes by preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost summaries, and value engineering proposals.
Update cost estimates based on project revisions and market trends.
Quality Assurance & Control:
Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures related to MEP works.
Identify and resolve design discrepancies or installation issues on-site.
Ensure materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
Coordination & Communication:
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
Provide technical guidance to on-site teams.
Coordinate with design and procurement teams for timely delivery of materials and shop drawings.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP supervision with a strong background in cost estimation.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, MEP systems, and safety regulations.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working on high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of sustainable building systems and energy-efficient technologies.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
