Supervise, guide, and motivate the MEP technical team.
Plan and schedule daily/weekly work and allocate tasks to technicians and subcontractors.
Ensure optimal use of manpower and resources.
Act as the first-line manager for all technical staff.
Technical oversight and quality control:
Inspect MEP installations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, etc.) to ensure they meet standards, drawings, and specifications.
Review MEP drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance.
Conduct quality checks and perform audits on completed work.
Support the testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP systems.
Safety and compliance:
Ensure adherence to all safety standards, authority regulations, and fire safety measures.
Promote a safe work environment.
Inspect and check the safety of electrical panels and equipment.
Coordination and communication:
Coordinate with other teams (like civil or fit-out) to avoid conflicts between systems.
Attend site meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors.
Communicate progress, issues, and status updates.
Maintenance and repairs:
Oversee both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance requests.
Respond to emergency situations.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform field repairs as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and associated costs.
Prepare site reports and progress updates.
