We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer (MEP) for one of our clients to lead their maintenance operations and ensure the smooth functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in MEP systems, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
Plan and allocate daily tasks, ensuring timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
Provide training and guidance to enhance technical skills within the team.
Operations & Maintenance
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire-fighting, and building automation systems.
Conduct routine inspections and audits of equipment, identifying potential issues before breakdowns occur.
Ensure minimum downtime by implementing effective troubleshooting and quick response mechanisms.
Planning & Compliance
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment histories.
Ensure all works comply with safety regulations, statutory codes, and company policies.
Project & Vendor Management
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or upgrades.
Review and approve maintenance materials, spare parts, and consumables.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce HSE standards and ensure team adherence to safety procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (MEP specialization preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facilities/plant maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and BMS systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Salary - Aed 13,000.
