The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and product development, with a proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers. You will play a key role in developing innovative solutions, ensuring engineering best practices, and delivering high-quality mechanical systems from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engineering analysis including FEA, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-ups.
Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of designs to meet performance and safety requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO).
Prepare detailed documentation including engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical reports.
Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and product lifecycle processes.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns.
Support project management efforts, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles.
Proficient in 3D CAD and engineering analysis tools.
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
Experience with product development from concept to production.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM/DFA principles.
Knowledge of thermal and fluid systems, or electromechanical systems (depending on industry).
Experience with PLM systems like Windchill, Arena, or Teamcenter.
Prior work in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
