Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates for high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning during pre-construction phases.
Monitor project budgets and provide cost advice to stakeholders.
Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and tender documents for MEP subcontractors.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and assist in contract negotiations.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices.
Administer MEP contracts, including variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
Assess and validate change orders and additional works.
Liaise with MEP consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve cost-related issues.
Track project expenditures and provide monthly cost reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
Conduct risk analysis and advise on financial implications.
Prepare and negotiate final accounts with contractors and suppliers.
Assist in resolving commercial disputes related to MEP works.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum [7] years of experience as an MEP QS in high-rise buildings (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).
Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Planswift) and MS Excel.
Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT, or NEC contracts.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
