To manage all cost and contractual aspects of MEP works for projects, ensuring accurate estimation, budgeting, and control of project expenditures. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will support project delivery by preparing cost reports, valuations, and variations in line with contractual and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to determine MEP scope of work.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost plans.
Perform quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Support procurement and tendering processes for MEP packages.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients on contractual and financial matters.
Maintain cost records and prepare regular cost reports for management review.
Assist in claim preparation and negotiation with clients or subcontractors.
Ensure that all cost and commercial activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5-8+
years
of experience as an
MEP Quantity Surveyor
in the
construction or contracting industry (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction contracts (FIDIC), and cost control processes.
