Job Description

The MEP QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and ELV systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with design specifications, codes, international standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists for all MEP disciplines. LinkedIn Ensure that MEP works conform to approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, contract requirements, and international standards. Monitor material submittals, approvals, storage, and handling to prevent damage or nonconformity.

Inspection & Testing

Conduct regular site inspections, tests, and surveillance of MEP installations (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, ELV systems). Dr Jobs Witness testing and commissioning activities, ensuring performance criteria are met.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC records: IRs (Inspection Requests), MIRs (Material Inspection Reports), WIRs (Work Inspection Reports), NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and other required documentation. Compile daily/weekly/monthly QA/QC reports for project management and client review. LinkedIn

Coordination & Communication

Liaise with project teams, engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on QC matters. Dr Jobs Attend quality meetings, provide technical inputs, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. LinkedIn

Continuous Improvement

Identify quality risks and opportunities for improvement in procedures and execution. LinkedIn Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with local authority standards (DEWA/ADDC/FEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) and HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering field.

Experience:

Typically

5+ years

in MEP QA/QC roles on construction projects (UAE experience preferred). Strong understanding of MEP systems, UAE authority regulations, international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC). Excellent documentation, reporting, and coordination skills. LinkedIn Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC software tools.
