The MEP QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works are executed in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and approved quality procedures. The role includes monitoring site activities, conducting inspections, preparing documentation, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Control & Assurance
Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) for all MEP works.
Review and verify MEP drawings, method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), material submittals, and shop drawings.
Ensure that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with project specifications and standards.
2. Site Inspection & Monitoring
Conduct site inspections for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installations.
Monitor daily activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
Issue and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), SORs, and quality observations.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare inspection requests (IRs), quality checklists, testing reports, and daily QA/QC logs.
Maintain all QA/QC documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
Ensure proper documentation for testing & commissioning activities.
4. Coordination
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for inspections and project quality matters.
Attend site progress meetings, technical meetings, and quality-related discussions.
Support project teams in resolving technical and quality-related issues.
5. Testing & Commissioning
Ensure all MEP systems undergo proper testing, commissioning, and third-party inspections.
Review T&C procedures and verify test results for compliance.
6. Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, DM, DCD, SEWA, ADDC).
Ensure installation works adhere to international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IEC, BS, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
Minimum
5-7 years of experience
in MEP QA/QC roles within construction projects.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, MEP systems, and local authority approvals.
Experience in high-rise, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

Additional Requirements (Optional to Add):
UAE project experience preferred.
Valid UAE driving license (if needed).
Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001, Certified Quality Engineer) is an advantage.
