The MEP Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for high-rise developments. You will lead the coordination between design, civil construction, and subcontractors to ensure that complex vertical systems (HVAC, high-speed elevators, pressurized plumbing, and life safety) are installed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Site Management
Oversee execution of all MEP works at site (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS, ELV).
Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs.
Manage MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and site engineers.
Coordinate with construction teams for interface works (structural openings, sleeves, risers, MEP rooms, facade coordination).
Conduct site inspections to verify installation compliance with design, standards, and specifications.
Planning & Progress Control
Develop and track detailed MEP construction schedules with the planning team.
Monitor site progress and take corrective action to avoid delays.
Lead daily/weekly MEP coordination meetings and report site status to management.
Coordinate logistics, material delivery, and manpower deployment.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to local codes (DEWA, DCD, DM, NFPA, ASHRAE, BS/IEC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code).
Implement quality control processes and maintain documentation.
Lead MEP testing, commissioning, inspections, and approvals.
Cost & Commercial Coordination
Track variations, RFIs, site instructions, and change orders.
Support contracts and QS teams with MEP cost evaluations.
Control material waste, rework, and subcontractor performance to optimize cost.
HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)
Ensure all MEP site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Promote safe work practices, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Handover & Closeout
Manage MEP snagging, rectification, and consultant/client approvals.
Oversee as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and handover packages.
Lead MEP site handover to testing & commissioning teams.
Qualifications
Degree:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Experience:
8+ years in MEP, with 3-5 years managing site execution in high-rise projects in UAE
Strong knowledge of MEP systems for towers
Experience in DEWA and DCD inspections and authority approvals
Excellent subcontractor and site coordination management
Ability to resolve technical issues under tight schedules
Familiar with Primavera P6 / MS Project, BIM coordination (Navisworks, Revit awareness)
Strong communication with consultants, client, and site teams
