Job Description

MEP Project Manager's job involves planning, executing, and overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications. Key responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, managing contractors and budgets, ensuring compliance with codes, and supervising MEP installations from design through commissioning and handover.

Core Responsibilities

Project Planning & Design:

Reviewing and developing project requirements, coordinating with designers and engineers to integrate MEP systems into the overall project, and developing detailed project schedules.

Budget & Cost Management:

Estimating costs for MEP materials and labor, controlling expenses within the project budget, and managing project cash flow.

Contractor & Subcontractor Management:

Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, managing their contracts, and ensuring they adhere to project specifications.

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

Overseeing the installation of MEP systems, monitoring work progress, and performing quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Communication & Reporting:

Acting as a liaison between clients, consultants, and contractors, and preparing regular project progress reports.

Risk Management:

Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including installation, commissioning, and relevant building codes.

Project Management:

Skills in planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and resource allocation.

Leadership & Communication:

Ability to lead project teams, negotiate contracts, and facilitate clear communication among diverse stakeholders.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or a related field) is often a requirement.

Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with industry-standard software for project management and design is beneficial.

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
