We are seeking an experienced MEP Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle the procurement of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials, equipment, and services required for our construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time to meet project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for MEP-related materials and services.
Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
Review and compare quotations based on price, quality, and delivery terms.
Ensure all purchased materials comply with project specifications and approved submittals.
Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams to determine material requirements.
Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, and resolve issues related to quality or delays.
Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
Track market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Liaise with the finance department regarding supplier payments and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Procurement, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in MEP procurement (construction industry preferred).
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Ability to handle multiple procurement activities under tight deadlines.
