HDR is seeking a strong manager to lead and support our team partnership with the Area Business Group Manager for Building Engineering Services (BES).

In the role of MEP Manager, we\'ll count on you to:

The BES Area Lead will be primarily focused on building a BES team to pursue and deliver work in the local markets. This person will coordinate with the staff, key internal stake holders and external clients. This individual will be a part of the regional leadership team coordinating resources and pursuits across the broader regional team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and mentoring staff.
• Supporting hiring efforts through communicating and vetting hiring needs with the local management and BES Area Business Group Managers.
• Build relationships and liaise with internal clients and external BES Market Sector staff to support the pursuit and delivery of work.
• Build local client relationships in key market segments.
• Engage with and manage quality of deliverables. Engage with projects at an overall quality review level.
• Communicate with project managers to obtain scope/schedule/budget information and build a culture of cooperation.
• Manage project resources. Liaise outside of area as needed to facilitate workshare as needed across the HDR network. Maintain workload forecasting data.
• Build resumes and subject matter expertise to support the clients in key markets.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or closely related Engineering degree is required
• P.E. require
• 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in project delivery, planning, and engineering management
• Self-starter; strong communication and people skills
• Willing to initiate discussions to solve problems and coordinate work
• Success in initiating and managing growth
• Management experience required
• Must be committed to quality and improvement and promoting HDR\'s values
