Job Description

The MEP Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of electrical and mechanical works on site. The role ensures that all MEP installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Coordination

Supervise site installation activities of electrical and/or mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and power systems). Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other foremen to ensure smooth workflow. Allocate manpower, materials, and tools as per daily work requirements. Ensure proper sequencing and coordination between civil and MEP works.

2. Quality and Compliance

Ensure all work complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and QA/QC standards. Inspect installations and report non-conformities or deviations to the MEP Engineer. Assist in testing, commissioning, and inspection processes.

3. Safety and Housekeeping

Enforce safety regulations and ensure workers use PPE and follow safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any accidents or unsafe conditions immediately.

4. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain daily work reports, manpower logs, and material usage records. Report progress, delays, or issues to the MEP Engineer/Project Manager. Assist in preparing as-built documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma / ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP works (construction/building projects). Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation practices, and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in high-rise, hospital, or commercial building projects. GCC (Gulf region) experience preferred. Familiarity with site inspection and commissioning processes.
