The MEP Engineer (with SIRA or ADMCC certification) is responsible for the design, supervision, installation, testing, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, with a particular focus on
security systems, fire protection, and life safety systems
. The engineer ensures compliance with
UAE regulations, SIRA/ADMCC standards, and ADNOC/municipality guidelines
to deliver safe, sustainable, and cost-efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
Prepare and review MEP design drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Ensure security and fire alarm systems are designed and installed per SIRA/ADMCC standards.
Conduct load calculations, HVAC sizing, and electrical distribution design.
Project Execution
Supervise site activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities (SIRA, ADMCC, Civil Defense, ADNOC, etc.).
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including ELV/security/fire protection systems.
Compliance & Certification
Ensure adherence to SIRA / ADMCC regulations, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and ADNOC requirements.
Prepare technical documentation for authority approvals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulatory changes.
Quality & Safety
Conduct risk assessments, HSE checks, and compliance audits.
Maintain documentation for ISO, ADNOC, and client requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Team & Client Coordination
Liaise with project managers, clients, and consultants.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
Participate in project review meetings and progress reporting.
Qualifications & Certifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Certification:
Valid
SIRA Engineer Card
(Dubai) OR
ADMCC Registration
(Abu Dhabi).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in MEP projects, including fire alarm, firefighting, security, and ELV systems.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of MEP design and execution.
Familiarity with NFPA, BS, and UAE Fire Code standards.
Excellent project management and coordination skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
