Job Description
: MEP Engineer Sharjah, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be working on a project consisting of Enabling Works and New PTB. The project is divided in 11 different main packages including the construction of a new building for Arrivals and Departures, expansion of the existing terminal, Apron works, increase in parking stands, Baggage Handling System and the development of the road network leading to the airport. Parsons’ services include, but not limited to, design and scope management, project management, planning support services, construction management. What You'll Be Doing:
- Review design reports and provide review comments.
- Plan check reviews of MEP/FP Design drawings, specs and scopes during several design phases.
- Oversee A/E and CM Consultant works as the Owner Rep.
- Coordinate with SEWA regarding program demand load forecasts, HV & LV side, substation site selections, ring main routings, SEWA permitting and CASE IDs.
- Manage the interface of all MEP services between different contract packages in design and construction phases.
- Project-manage and oversee design and CM of New CUP Facility, Utilidors, PTB and Water Pump Station and TES.
- Project manage and oversee design and CM on ELV Systems and BMS system, BMS system cross integration with legacy BMS system.
- Review scope and variances regarding MEP/FP and FLS systems.
- Review and approve work scopes regarding smoke management and evacuation systems.
- Write program briefs for MEP/FP systems.
- Review and evaluate HVAC calculations.
- Perform other related duties as required for the position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Ten to fifteen years of experience with mega MEP projects.
- Familiar with all the MEP methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables, tools and manpower allocations related to Mechanical works for building projects.
- Well versed in interpreting and executing MEP related drawings.
- Knowledge of international standards, codes and regulations.
- Commitment to quality and safe work practices.
- Airport Experience
- Thorough knowledge of SEWA regulations.
- Knowledge of common project delivery methods and Middle East practices are also preferred.
